Clifford Brooks is a poet, author, educator, and broadcaster, and founder of The Southern Collective Experience (SCE), a cooperative of writers, musicians, and visual artists. He is Editor in Chief of The Blue Mountain Review and host of the podcast Dante’s New South.

He is the author of The Draw of Broken Eyes & Whirling Metaphysics, Athena Departs, and Old Gods, and his new collection, Orpheus Remains: New and Selected Poems, draws together thirty years of work alongside new poems written in the present. His writing moves between confession and craft, exploring faith, addiction, autism, and the long road toward self-acceptance, while holding fast to his Southern roots.
